The 135th Saint Paul Winter Carnival:
January 28-February 7,2021
The Saint Paul Festival and Heritage Foundation celebrates winter like only Minnesotans can! There are many family-friendly events, and most are FREE and open to the public. This year they have added some virtual family days as well that everyone can participate in from the safety of their homes. Here is a list of the signature events that will take place this year.
Drive-Thru Ice & Snow Sculpture Park
Combining two signature Winter Carnival events – the Ice Carving Competition and the Snow Sculpture Contest – this brand new drive-thru experience, will take place at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds each day of the Carnival, giving you opportunities to enjoy the winter creations!

Ice Fishing Tournament
This is a month plus long digital ice fishing tournament through the FishDonkey Mobile App, launching January 1st and running through the end of carnival, Feb. 7th, 2021. Prizes will be awarded to the top anglers in many different categories.

Softball Tournament
They are bringing back a classic hit from the Carnival’s history – the Winter Carnival Softball Tournament. Games will be held outdoors on a St. Paul ballfield. Make sure to sign up for the game or just come and watch from the sidelines.

CRAFTED
There will be specially crafted Winter Carnival drinks at local breweries, artisan coffee shops, restaurants & more throughout Saint Paul and the East metro. Each participating location will offer an exclusive onsite discount to passport users and each stamp you receive will help you enter to win cool prizes!

Frozen Family Fun Night
Make sure to bundle up the kids and join in this outside event for all ages. It will include entertaining performances, visits by snow princesses, a bonfire, and family-friendly activities.

Saint Paul Scavenger Hunt
There will be three fun scavenger hunts to take part in this year. The St. Paul PARK-emon Go (Family-Friendly), The Saint Paul Past & Present: A Trip into Its History and The Notable Landmarks and Shop, Dine, & Play: Your Guide to Saint Paul Fun & Attractions.

Winter Carnival Music Series
This years Winter Carnival Music Series is going on the road and will be popping up outdoors at parking lots and establishments around Saint Paul.

Virtual Family Days
On January 30 and February 6 families can gather around their computers and there will be entertaining performances, educational seminars, arts and crafts lessons, storytelling sessions, and much more. This content will go live on their website, Facebook page, and YouTube channel.
