Hudson Hot Air Affair
The Hudson Hot Air Affair is set for February 5-7, 2021 with the theme “Bringing Fun to 2021”. There will be balloons in the air (weather permitting), an evening drive-thru balloon glow and candlestick event, live video coverage of balloon launches, video reminiscing and some new fun activities. So bundle up and look up to see the colorful balloons flying over Hudson.
-On Saturday and Sunday, February 6th & 7th at 8 a.m. there will be Pop Up Balloon Launches with 20 hot air balloons launching from various locations around Hudson.
-The traditional evening balloon glow will have a new twist this year as a drive through event. Join the fun on Saturday, February 6th from 5:30-6:30 pm for the Drive-Thru Balloon and Candlestick Glow. -Hot Air Affair will be partnering with River Channel Hudson/North Hudson Community Access Television for streaming video and live coverage of the Pop-Up Balloon Launches and the evening Balloon Glow event. -Bundle up and take the Buena Vista Stroll in the Park to celebrate. Thousands of lights along the St. Croix River at Lakefront Park in downtown Hudson. The lights will be up thru February 7th.
-The Phipps Center for the Arts offers a Hot Air Affair At-Home Family Day Activity. Make a crazy balloon hat using materials you can find around your house and then upload a selfie to Facebook. Learn more at thephipps.org.
-On Friday, February 5th a Virtual Ballooning Education Program with Rivers in the Air…Just add Wind. Kids can tune in for FUN viewing and activities with local artist and educator Liz Malanaphy.
